Operating a vehicle is only getting more costly, with expenses such as insurance and fuel on the rise. For Canadians who use their personal vehicles for business use in 2019, these increases has been reflected in the maximum deductible allowances paid to the employees:

All Canadian Provinces – Increase of $0.03/kilometer

  • For the first 5,000 kilometers: Increase from $0.55/km to $0.58/km
  • For 5,001+ kilometers: Increase from $0.49/km to $0.52/km

All Canadian Territories – Increase of $0.04

  • For the first 5,000 kilometers: Increase from $0.58/km to $0.62/km
  • For 5,001+ kilometers: Increase from $0.42/km to $0.56/km
