What you will do:

  • Work with the Accounting team to provide world class service
  • Share knowledge with peers in order to develop personal professional skills and improve service delivery
  • Provide a stable, flexible environment aimed at team work, encouraging personal and professional development
  • Provide practical solutions to clients
  • Apply all relevant technical knowledge to technical issues arising on client engagements and ensure the issues are addressed and appropriately documented in accordance with the appropriate professional standards and Firm policies
  • Apply appropriate industry/business knowledge in anticipating, identifying and addressing issues relevant to the client’s business
  • Begin to develop and build on new business opportunities with existing clients, and continually maintain a positive client relationship, where periodic visits to client sites is required
  • Complete the detailed review of assurance and non-assurance engagements and projects to ensure that the engagement/project is in accordance with the relevant professional standards and organizational policies
  • Conduct and assist others with research as necessary on technical matters related to client situations
  • Provide input into staff performance management
  • Develop the skills, capabilities and potential of less experienced staff through supervision, coaching, mentoring, knowledge transfer, internal training delivery, and assignment of challenging work opportunities
  • Maintain proficiency in the accounting, assurance, quality control and ethical standards applicable to the client base, including recent changes to those standards


What you bring to the table:

  • CPA designation
  • 3+ years in a supervisory capacity
  • Exceptional communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Proven people influencing and leadership ability
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships
  • Experience working within tight deadlines with multiple priorities
  • Experience working in a high-growth or entrepreneurial environment
  • Strategic thinker focused on maximizing performance
  • Positive and proactive attitude
  • Brings a great sense of humour and enthusiasm
